Yes, a Stripper Podcast didn’t start as a network. It started as exactly what it sounded like.
Back when we launched, we used the name Yes, a Stripper Podcast on purpose—because saying the word “stripper” out loud, publicly, and without shame mattered. It still does.
But as the work grew, so did the reality of what that word carries in the world. Platform restrictions. Censorship. Payment barriers. Shadowbanning. All the ways systems quietly (and not so quietly) limit how sex workers are able to exist, build, and be seen.
So we made a strategic shift.
We kept the podcast name—but we stopped using “stripper” in our business infrastructure. Not because we’re distancing from it, but because we understand how to move within systems that were never built for us.
What started as a one host show, morphed.
In 2021, we began expanding—bringing in new voices and perspectives from within the community.
Onyx Sachi, GiGi Holliday, and Daisy Ducati.
And then more hosts followed in the years after, each adding their own voice, style, and lived experience to the platform, including NatsHoney, Lisa Michelle and Princess Marx.
What started as a single podcast became something bigger: a shared space.
What started as a Behind the scenes, the work grew too. host show, morphed.
Founded by AM Davies, alongside original producer (and now Technical Director) Makenzie Mizell, the podcast continued to evolve, not just creatively, but structurally.
What we were building needed more than just a show.
So we built an organization.
We filed as a nonprofit and expanded into what is now YAS Work, a sex worker-led network that includes:

What we were building needed more than just a show.
YAS Podcast is where it all started. It’s still the core.
And it continues to do what it’s always done:
center sex workers, in our own voices, on our own terms.
What Makes This Podcast Different
Most conversations about sex work happen without us, or over us. This podcast is different. It’s a space where sex workers lead, define, and complicate our own narratives, without censorship or translation. Listen to episodes.
